We've been a family traveling machine so far this summer. As soon as school got out, we were on our way to Hank's family reunion. Then my sister came out from Texas and my parents got a few weeks off at the temple, so we took off again. This time the destination was Central Oregon. We stayed in a townhouse at Eagle Crest. We had some good quality family time.

The boys taking some "down" timeWe also swam a lot, played basketball (ugh, I'm out of shape), watched movies, ate homemade ice cream (YUM), learned how to play pinochle, rode bikes and scooters, passed kidney stones (well, one of us did), watched thunder and lightening storms (and decided NOT to hike the butte during said storm), visited, read, worked on crossword puzzles, and generally just relaxed and enjoyed being together.
Those are the best vacations - minus the kidney stones.
